New Arrivals at NHG This Week

There are many plants that can brighten your garden this season and that can be planted now! Here are some of our favorites that are in stock or arriving soon:
Looking for vibrant color? You can find beautiful annuals, perennials and shrubs, as well as hardy vegetables and herbs, in stock now.
Clockwise from L: Pansy, Swiss Chard ‘Bright Lights’, Silver Lemon Thyme, Mustard Greens ‘Southern Giant Curled’, Gerber Daisy, Primrose, & Camellia sasanqua ‘Mine-No-Yuki’.
More than six different varieties of Japanese Maples have just arrived in 2 gallon to 10 gallon containers – and now is an ideal time to plant. Remember, the ground does not freeze in north Texas, so the roots will continue to grow and establish over winter, giving them a head start before summer heat sets in.

Onion slips have just arrived! We purchase Texas grown ‘short day’ onion sets from a family farm that been growing onions for over 100 years. January is the best time to plant them in our area, and they’re typically ready for harvest in May. Even if you don’t have the space for large beds, a few slips tucked into pots here and there yield delicious green tops that can be snipped into salads and soups.
We’re getting fresh stock of beautiful plants in each week during our temporary operations, so there’s always something new to see! We are open daily (Monday-Friday 9a-5p, Sunday 10a-5p) and our Garden Advisors are always available to assist and answer your questions.
