It
is our aim for you to have the satisfaction of a successful garden
experience with everything you purchase at North Haven Gardens.
Plants are live perishable goods that require care in order to thrive.
Gardening is a learning experience and we’ll all have success mixed with
a little failure! Remember, if you are struggling with a plant in your
landscape, come in and see us so we can help diagnose the problem before
you lose your plant. Bring photos and leaf/stem samples with you so we
can properly assess the situation. That’s what we’re here for. We’re
unable to diagnose plant or landscape issues over the phone. In order
for us to make the right prescription for you, we need to see samples
and photos of your plants in-person and ask you a series of questions so
we can get you and your plants back on track.
Receipts:
You must have a receipt with you when returning any product. Are you a
Grow Card Customer? Then good news! We keep a record of all your
purchases made under your Grow Card account. If you lose your
receipt, we can pull the original transaction up in our system. Not a

Retail hard good purchases (pottery, tools, etc.) may be returned in the original condition with the proper receipt for a full refund of amount paid. The
exceptions are dated materials such as periodicals and seeds/bulbs, or
material that has been damaged or used after purchase. However, if you
feel you have used a product per the label instructions, and it has not
performed in the manner it should, please contact us to discuss. The refund
can be made per the original payment method (you must present the same
debit or credit card the original purchase was made with for credit to
be made back to that card). If you originally paid by check, then refund
will be made by check or cash after the original check has cleared. Please visit the Service Desk for all returns.
Live plants are guaranteed to be true to variety and essentially free of pests and disease at time of purchase. We guarantee hardy shrubs over 15 gallons and all hardy trees for 2 years. Hardy shrubs and perennials from 1- 15 gallons are guaranteed for one year. Guaranteed plants will be exchanged for like material if it is in stock, or for store credit if the same material is not available. All plants are replaced only one time. You must bring the plant to be replaced back to the store at time of
return. Seasonal annuals, tropical and container plants are not
replaceable.
Outdoor plants grown in locations other than in ground are not covered by our replacement plan.
If you leave outdoor plants in the original container or plant in an
above ground container, they are not covered by our replacement plan.
Clearance Merchandise is not replaceable under our return plan (plants purchased at a 50% or larger discount). Clearance
material, both live plants and hard goods, are sold “as-is” and do not
fall under our warranty. As stated above, regular or Sale (less than 50% discount) merchandise will be exchanged for like material or credit issued for the original amount paid.
Naturally, this return plan
cannot cover damage or death beyond our control, such as improper
planting, over or under watering, insects or diseases and winter kill or
other weather extremes. Should your plants develop a problem or disease
call or visit us quickly for advice. We would prefer to help you save your plants before you have to replace them. No one likes to start over! Dead plants (for diagnosis) must be returned to the store before any adjustments can be made. For larger trees we have planted, please contact us to discuss a site visit to determine the health of the tree.
