This oreganium is sometimes called "Hardy Marjoram" because it has a mild oregano flavor similar to "Sweet Marjoram" (Oreganium majorana). Unlike Sweet Marjoram this is a winter hardy evergreen perennial in the Dallas area. Use fresh in salads. The flavor combines well in soups, sauces, fish, meats, and tomato slices. | |
