Montauk Daisy

An opportunity to study an exacting course of study under the guidance of North Haven Garden Artist-in-Residence, Cynthia Padilla. Cynthia is a nationally sought out instructor of botanical arts, natural science subjects and field sketching for prestigious institutions such as the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University, Polly Hill Arboretum of Martha’s Vineyard, Arkansas State Park, the Ghost Ranch (home of flower painter Georgia O’Keefe in New Mexico) and gardens, museums and nature centers across the country.

Cynthia received a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Los Angeles, and continued studies in surface design at UCLA. Thus began a 20 + year career as a prolific textile designer, specializing in complex floral botanical patterns for both the apparel and home furnishings markets. The attention to detail demanded from weekends at a neighborhood nature study center, made her one of the most successful textile artists in the industry with representation on both coasts and in Europe.
