FALL HERB DAYS
AND
5TH ANNUAL HERBAL TEA OFF
Saturday September 30th and Sunday October 1st


CONTEST - This is an annual event and open to all. Entries will be judged by some of the most discriminating herb fanciers in the Metroplex. The judges will need at least a gallon of any tea entered, and/or several portions of any dessert. Entries may be dropped off and the winning entrants will be notified. What you do, is simply prepare your favorite herbal tea or dessert and get it to North Haven Gardens before Saturday at 12:00 noon. The results of the judging will be announced in the store at 2:00 pm on Saturday.
Tea Off - The first place tea entry receives a pitcher and a $50. gift certificate and second place a $25. gift certificate.
Herbal Desserts - The 1st place dessert entry will receive a platter and a $50. gift certificate and second place a $25. gift certificate.

- Lets Make Herbal Teas by Edith Hiett Sunday October 1st at 1:30pm Edith is a Charter Member of the North and Central Texas Unit of the Herb Society of America and Heritage herb Club. She publishes the newsletter for the Heritage Herb Club and is the Four time winner of the North Haven Gardens Tea-Off

LECTURE - Growing Plants for Herbal Teas by Don Miller Sunday October 1st at 2:30pm Benefit from Don’s years of experience as North Haven’s Horticulturist and Greenhouse Manager as he walks you through the selection and growing of plants used in herbal teas. Entertainment - High Tea will be served in the bistro setting of our tropical greenhouse. Special Opportunity - There will also be representatives from local herb societies and clubs in the store answering your herbal questions from 10:00 – 4:00 both Saturday and Sunday.
