North Haven is a wonderland of gift items for the gardener. As we welcome the Holiday gift-giving season, selecting that special gift becomes the focus of our shopping. Wherever we are, we keep a watchful eye for that special gift.
The perfect and easy gift is several bulbs in one of the beautiful ceramic containers or baskets from North Haven. The bulb selection is outstanding this season, with many new varieties of Narcissus and specialty bulbs. Some of the new varieties of narcissus include ‘Geranium’, white with a pheasant eye center and ‘Pipet’, unusual white trumpet with yellow petals. To complete the collection are the ever popular King Alfred type, ‘Ice Follies’, ‘Carlton’, ‘Mt Hood’, ‘Thalia’ and many more of the popular varieties for naturalizing. The tulips have arrived in a rainbow of colors to add dazzle to every spring garden. What would the holidays be without Paper whites, Amaryllis, and Hyacinths?
For the garden, several unusual styles of fountains, lighted granite columns, and carved granite stepping-stones of oriental design join other granite selections and cement yard statuary and fountains.
Whimsical butterflies, ladybugs and other friendly insects of colored leaded glass with copper trim on copper poles would add a perfect addition of color to the container garden or on a patio or deck.
The selection of beautiful wreaths and garlands will add glitter and glow to everyone's home. Many of these are decorated with apples, glittering cones and bunches of cinnamon sticks. There are also autumn wreaths of dried flowers, moss wreaths, and wreaths featuring flowers and gourds.
The Floral department will enjoy creating custom designed garlands, wreaths and arrangements for your home. Be sure and place your order as early as possible.
The gardener always enjoys the North Haven gift certificate; they can choose a special gift for themselves. See you soon at North Haven!
