This Lavender is sometimes known as Spanish or Portuguese Lavender. But don't confuse it with the more accepted Spanish Lavender, Lavendula stoeches. This one of the more common commercial Lavenders, grown of its camphor- like oil used primarily in soaps. This species has very high oil production.
